Through transcendency, I retreat in the shower, stealing a few moments of silence. I breathe in the perfumes of my soap and take comfort in the softness of my towel. As I indulge in these small luxuries, the echoes of the halcyon days escape my mind, becoming louder through the tiles and the glass I lean on.
