Susan Bell, The Landscape of the Railway (LANDSCAPE 2024)
While railways are an everyday landscape to many in our cities, they have a visual rhythm and complexity which is alien and mesmerising. People are carefully guided in their movement and shrunk in their scale against the bigness of the infrastructure. The tracks themselves are full of complexity but completely empty of people in such a busy city. This short series was taken in Melbourne's Southern Cross Station during a trip to see the Melbourne's Fashion Week.
