Skye Armstrong, The magical landscape of the Warrumbungles (LANDSCAPE 2022)

A camping trip to one of my bucket list locations did not disappoint. I was expecting to come home with nothing but astro shots. But i was treated to so much more. My first night i was treat to the best the dark sky park had to offer. The second day i got caught in a rain storm whilst looking for a location for sunset. It was a treat to watch the clouds dance and float between the mountains. The next day i shared a hike through some tall grass with a mob of Emu's. On my final day the sky began to clear and i walked through a plain that didn't exist until the park was devasted by bushfires in 2013. Unfortunately the forest that covered this plain never regenerated due to the lack of rain in the years to come. It truly is a magical place.
