Celia Furt, The Snake Goes Underground (Travel 2019)

As adventurous as traveling is, it can also be dangerous. Sometimes we are not aware of how dangerous it can be. I chose to show the progression of this snake going underground to inform people of how snakes go into hiding when they are stressed or scared. They quickly dig holes in the sand with their tail. So, their back goes first, their head last. In the end, they leave a trace in the sand that is not easy to identify for unaware humans as I was when I went to Namibia. Now that I am more aware, I'll pay more attention to where I put my feet when walking on the sand.
