Joseph Emmanuel, The two sides of the story (LANDSCAPE 2020)

My aim in this portfolio is to engage the viewer in an unconventional manner. These photos are my photographic interpretation of the poetry of water reflections. Water as a unique medium not only reflects but also creates unique visual feasts. By inverting the water reflections in these photos they have been given an independent presence and my aim was to bring them to the focus and the attention of the viewer. By doing so, inevitably the physical and material elements in the composition have also been inverted. Inviting the viewer to dig deeper in an unconventional manner into a world that there is a reversal of roles and identities that coexist beautifully and the only requirement of this flourishing together is still water!
