Jonathan Abdipranoto, Timeless (Landscape 2017)

Long exposure photography can be a strange balance of serenity and dynamism. The foreground is imbued with calm as water movement blurs into a fine mist and still puddles provide natural mirrors for reflection. This is challenged by the playfully loud streaks of clouds as they glide with uncharacteristic form through the sky. Suffice it to say, these elements are at the will of time...but the subject is not. The subject stands stoic despite the rambunctious skies and the peaceful seas. No matter the conditions or the climate or the day, week, month or year the subject will always be there. The subject is timeless.
