Jacob Vincent Ball, Traditions Of Fire (Travel 2018)

Tanna Island in Vanuatu is an extraordinary place. One of wild landscapes, active volcanos & some of the worlds most intriguing traditional life. Apart from the dominating Mt Yasur which can constantly be heard rumbling overhead, the island boasts undisturbed rainforests, unique wildlife, barren sand fields, lush jungle covered peaks and traditional Kustom villages that continue to hold ancient traditions in paying respects to the power of Mt Yasur. To travel though the island is to step back into an age not ruled by the clock but set by the cycles of weather, necessity and tradition.
