Laura Crimmins, Upside Down. (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

Over the years, I've grown quite familiar with a Wren family that often visits my backyard. Whenever they spot me with my camera, they tend to come quite close to see what I'm up to. Their curiosity about me matches my curiosity about them. On this particular day, I stood still for a while, observing a stunning Superb Fairywren. The bird began to showcase its impressive acrobatic skills, and I was fortunate enough to capture a brief moment of it hanging upside down. After its aerial display, the Fairywren caught a mosquito and enjoyed it as a mid-afternoon snack.
