Antonio Mussone, Viciously beautiful (JUNIOR 2022)

One moment in time can evoke so many emotions. To some, seeing this Great Egret demonstrating its natural instinct as a predator is beautiful. After all, without food, it could not survive. However, to others, watching the Water Skink slowly being devoured is vicious and saddening. One moment it’s enjoying its surroundings, the next, it’s fighting for its life before the thrashing of the Great Egret’s beak severs its spinal cord and it’s swallowed whole. In this moment, do you see beauty or viciousness, or maybe both?
