Peter Battye, Victor Harbor and Surrounds Coastline (Landscape 2017)

Whilst camping on the beachfront at Victor Harbor, South Australia we had opportunity to experience beautiful sunrises over Davenport Anchorage, silhouetting Granite Island as well as sunsets creating lovely cloud effects mirroring the curves of the Inman River mouth. One sunset at Petrel Cove was particularly striking and I used a slower speed to soften the waves and water movement which contrasted with and emphasised the highly textured rocky outcrops. Even when the weather was stormy the view from The Bluff along the coast towards the Newland Cliffs was moody and spectacular, and although it is hard to see there was a pod of 3 Southern Right whales in close to the shore!
