Peter Holton, Visions of Varanasi (TRAVEL 2020)

Varanasi is one of Indias holiest cities. Life revolves around the River Ganges, which is sacred to the millions of Hindus in India. Being cremated and having your ashes scattered into the River is the goal of every Hindu. The cycle of life and death has been going on for thousands of years in the worlds oldest inhabited city. It's both awe inspiring and confronting. It's also incredibly beautiful.
