Lauren Manser, Wanaka (LANDSCAPE 2022)

I sat on the top of Roy's Peak in Wanaka, New Zealand taking in the scenery. In a short five minute window the sky turned from blue and sunny to dark and ominous. Small rays of sunlight escaped between the clouds and landed on the lake, causing a sensational contrast of colour against the dark mountains and snow. As quickly as it arrived, the clouds disappeared returning the skies to blue. Anyone reaching the peak ten minutes later would never have known it happened.
