John Dalton, Wet Burrandowan Birthday (TRAVEL 2022)

When the 100th running of the Burrandowan Cup (50kms west of Kingaroy, Qld) was washed out by heavy rain after the first race, the large festive crowd was not to be denied, so quickly changed mode and found fun without the horses or the races. Colourful outfits and colourful characters replaced the sun, the wet became a source of fun, old mates took shelter with a cup of tea, and the punters happily found shelter from the rain in the betting ring.
