Wing Hong Leung, Who you really are (Junior 2017)

I moved to Australian in 2009 and finally went to Hong Kong back this year. I distinctly remember learning more about myself on the trip than anything else. It reminded me of my culture and family which faded away as I spent my time in Australia. Last year's entry was based on the Australia landscape and this year I want to pay homage to my city. The photos capture the true face of the city in red night markets, reminding myself of the unstoppable growth of the city. The monkey on the tree focuses the tourism side of Hong Kong with bright and vibrate colours. Food in my culture has the utmost importance in the family, it is almost a statement of safety and stability by having food on the table as it connects the family together. Then there is myself, going back knowing much more before I left Australia.
