Rebecca Harrison, Wild Winter in Iceland (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)
The Arctic Fox finds solace on the remote nature reserve of Honrstrandir in remote Iceland. A small scavenger, they have adapted to their polar habitat so they don't even start to shiver until -70 degrees in outside temperature. Its fur provides the best insulation of any mammal. This is a blue morph which keeps its 'blue' color all year and doesn't change to white. I wanted to capture the fox in its toughest season - winter.
